Roderik Hudson

Roderick J Hudson, BA (Hons) 
Rod has a fine academic background upon which he built his current professional career. He studied business management at Dudley College of Technology. He was awarded a BA (Hons) in American Studies by the University of Wales in 1990 additionally studying Philosophy and multiculturalism.

He gained a postgraduate diploma in computer science in 1991. He next attended Birmingham Polytechnic studying Project Management, Market Evaluation and Presentation Skills. In 1994 he attended Sutton Coldfield College gaining a certificate in counseling skills.

For the past 18 years he has worked as a Fingerprint Officer with the Dorset Police during which time he gained expert status. He is currently still serving with the Dorset Police. During his varied police service he has qualified as an AFR operator. In 1999 he was selected as a member of the seven-man Automatic Fingerprint Recognition Consortium ‘Mark Operations’ team, working from the AFR base in Tacoma, USA. In this latter capacity he helped substantially to provide the unique and highly successful 24/7 identification service to the British police.

He is widely experienced in all aspects of fingerprint comparison and identification work and is a certified mark/latent expert, highly experienced in AFIS systems.
