Ron Wright BA
Ron is a graduate of the British Open University holding a BA in Psychology, Human Geography and Sociology.
Ron served for thirty years with the Northumbria Police Force. His background is mainly within the CID throughout his service, he has an extensive background of investigating serious crime.
When he retired he held the rank of Detective Chief Inspector and was head of the Northumbria Police Fraud Squad.
Whilst head of the Fraud Squad he dealt with the largest fraud perpetrated on the Internet, which cost a certain telecommunications company in excess of $17 million and involved perpetrators in the USA and every country within the EEC.
When Ron retired from the Police he joined the AFR Consortium Service Team. Ron was the Deputy Operations Manager for the AFR Consortium for 6 years, until the cessation of the contract with specific responsibility for global security, data protection and overseas training.
The service provided by the AFR Consortium was a success story unparalleled in the history of British policing. The Consortium central site in Tacoma, Washington, was a reference site for an ever-increasing number of countries and foreign police forces acquiring the software upon which the service was based.
